Waste

All crew members and guests agree as a condition of being on Enchantress, that they will adhere to the following requirements.

1. GENERAL. (1) Before discharging waste of any kind at sea consideration must be given to environmental impact and local regulations. (2) Disposal of waste on shore will always be done in compliance with applicable governmental law.

2. GARBAGE. Rubbish will be stored aboard Enchantress in appropriate containers and held until it can be disposed of properly ashore.

3. PLASTIC AND OTHER NON-BIODEGRADABLE WASTE. No plastic or other non-biodegradable waste of any kind may be discharged overboard at any time. All such waste will be held on board until it can be safely disposed of on shore in an environmentally sound manner according to local law.

4. SEWAGE. Only digestive waste shall be placed in the head. Before discharging waste of any kind at sea consideration must be given to environmental impact and local regulations.

5. WASTE FUEL AND OIL. No petroleum-based oil or fuel may be discharged overboard at any time. The bilges must be kept reasonably free of fuel and oil, we will use oil pads where required and regularly check for leaks.  Waste fuel and oil will be stored in sealed plastic containers until they can be disposed of ashore in an approved waste oil tank or facility.

6. HAZARDOUS MATERIAL. All waste with potentially flammable characteristics will be stored on deck in a sealed container.
